Do security cameras need a monthly subscription?
Not with the right setup. We can install cameras that record to a device at your home, with a free app to watch from your phone. That means no monthly fee. If you'd rather store your video in the cloud, we can set that up instead. Cloud plans usually carry a monthly fee.
Do cameras need Wi-Fi?
Some cameras connect over Wi-Fi, and others use a network cable. Wired cameras are usually steadier, and many get their power through that same cable. Either way, they need a solid network behind them. If your Wi-Fi is weak where the cameras will go, we can fix that as part of the job.
Can I watch my cameras from my phone?
Yes. Before we leave, we set up the camera app on your phone and show you how to watch live and look back at recordings. The goal is simple. You should be able to check your cameras yourself, without needing to call anyone for help.
Can you put cameras on a barn or detached garage?
Yes. If the building doesn't have internet, we can beam it there from the house with a wireless link, with no digging or trenching. Then the cameras connect just like they would at the house. We'll look at the layout and give you a written plan and quote first.
